This is still happening in my house.
That is all.
There seems to be this small window if opportunity to take down the Christmax Tree. If you miss it, you quickly get back into the swing of things and free weekends become as rare as winning lottery tickets.
One year we had the tree up until almost April. It became a standing joke between Jill and I. We wanted to see how long we’d keep it up before cracking.

April? Okay, I don’t feel so badly now.

There was a standing joke with it. We started to use it as a birthday tree.

How lovely! My only concern is if the tree is real, it could present a fire hazard. Otherwise, enjoy!

Fake tree. Only fire in my head when I see the tree still standing.

I took my apartment’s tiny christmas tree down last weekend, and I felt a little piece of myself shatter…it was so sad, in more ways than one.
