Wordless Wednesday
Well, unfortunately, I didn’t have my camera when my Wordless Wednesday moment occurred.
So, I’m going to have to go anti-wordless Wednesday and tell you about the moment with words and no picture.
That’s how I roll.
So, yesterday was spent at the ER.
We WERE going to see Ramona and Beezus and we were going to bring one of Monkey Girl’s friends with us.
Suffice it to say, she was excited.
So, she was running out the front door, went to slam the door, but slammed her middle finger instead.
Our front door is some steel or metal.
Not wood.
Not that it would have mattered with the force that she used to slam that door.
Big hunka skin flappin’ around.
Much blood.
Many tears.
I washed it out, wrapped it up, called her friend’s Mom to say we would NOT be by in 5 minutes, and to the ER we went.
The moment occurred when we were back in a room, and the doctor came in.
Monkey Girl was laying on the bed, and the boys were sitting on my lap next to the bed.
As the doctor started poking at her finger, Monkey in the Middle just quietly reached out and gently grabbed her other hand.
She looked over at him and smiled gratefully.
He smiled back.
I cried.
Excellent moment.
