There are good dads.
Then, there are great dads.
Real Man falls into the latter category.
He is a great dad.
Throughout the day, the monkeys continually ask when Daddy is coming home.
They know the answer, but they ask anyway.
On Friday, they were particularly missing Real Man, and so they decided to leave messages for him in the driveway.
Included in the general “I love you” messages, they also left a trail for him to follow as he drove up the driveway, and a path for him to walk from his truck to the front door.
He didn’t just follow it.
As he pulled up to the driveway, he knew the monkeys would be watching out the front window.
So, he leaned out the truck window and got this incredulous look on his face, like he absolutely couldn’t believe the unbelievable artwork that decorated the driveway.
He followed the curvy path with his truck.
He parked where it said to park.
He got out and walked the entire length of the driveway again, looking at the artwork…really looking at it.
Then, followed the walking path, as twisty and turn-y as it was.
He came in the house and raved about it all.
Those kids felt so incredibly special.
Took no effort.
Made 3 kids SO happy.
That’s a great Dad.
