No, not the boardwalk. I couldn’t actually choose my favorite boardwalk pic for today. It’s a pic of the kids jumping off a lifeguard stand at the beach, but I just felt that it perfectly encapsulated the utter joy we feel at the Jersey Shore each summer. For Real Man and I, every summer since we can remember. That beach is gone now. Just gone. Along with all of the homes that were just washed away. For us, it was a vacation place and we are beyond sad that it is gone. For those who lived there, though, they have lost absolutely everything. Everything. It’s heartbreaking.

Is that a piece of the Boardwalk the kids are jumping from? Did your parents arrive safely home? Are you okay, Amy?
