So, Baby Monkey decided that this years party would be at Chuck E. Cheese.
Or, Chuck E. Sneeze, as a friend of mine so aptly put it.
So, we went, armed with antibacterial Wet Ones, a cake from home (or the store), and a few friends.
And he loved it.
And so did his brother.
There was climbing
Deep breaths for blowing out candles (on the Entenmann’s cake…so sue me)
A successful visit to the Ticket Blaster machine
And a good time was had by all.
Well, almost all.
Oh I hate Chuck E. Cheese. Dubya had his party there last year. NEVER AGAIN.
And don’t sweat the cake. I made Dubs a cake last year and he said, “Mommy, this is a great cake….but maybe this could be my at home cake? And we could maybe buy a cake to take to the party?”
Also, I didn’t realize Dubya’s and Baby Monkey’s birthdays were so close.

We were at the store and I said, “Mmm…look how good that Entenmann’s cake looks!” Baby said “Ooh, I think I’d like that for my party!” Shoulda been a saleswoman. π

When we learn to really listen to our kids they help us keep life simple in the true sense of the word.

Mom,/Carla I’m guessing u meant keeping it simple like Amy did by the Entemans cake and following baby monkeys lead as to where he wanted to have his bday party right?

Oh, I remember those parties and visits to Chuck E. Cheese! My boys are older now, and although I can’t say I miss that germ fest, your post brought back some fond memories π

They’ve reconfigured our Chuck E. Cheese, and it’s not absolutely terrible, and they run a very efficient party. π
