Well, unbelievably, this August marks one year that I’ve been writing the “My Real Life” blog.

I’ve loved every single second.

I want to thank those of you who have been reading since the beginning.

Sometimes, I’m a bit much.

And if you were with me in the beginning and are still with me today…I’m impressed.

Those of you who came midstream, I’m so glad that you’ve joined us along the way and decided to stick it out!

And, for those of you who just joined us…welcome, and make yourself comfortable, because I’ve got lot more to share!

I thought I’d celebrate our one year anniversary with a contest.

Easy, easy, easy.

The prize is…

a $25 iTunes gift card!!!

All you have to do to enter is leave a comment below with your favorite blog post from the past year.

If you are new to the blog, feel free to look through the archives, found at the right.

It’s been an interesting year around here…there’s sure to be something that catches your eye!

Winner will be chosen at random.

So, truly…thank you for reading the blog.

It is a labor of love and updating the blog is one of the highlights of each day.

It’s a way for me to nurture my creativity and my writing, while discussing the thing about which I am most passionate…

…my family.

So, thank you and stick around!

Year Two is sure to be full of more surprises, contests, and lots and lots of pictures of the monkeys.

(Contest will run through Thursday)

  1. My absolute favorite post was called “Sometimes”, and yes, I remembered the title because it was really touching. It was the one where it was a rainy day so you took your children to dunkin donuts, I think. That one absolutely warmed my heart. I promise you, those days are the ones your kids will remember, the random surprise acts you did just because. Great parenting!!

  2. I found you at hip mountain mama- and while i feel like it’s pushing my luck entering another contest, i think your blog is awesome. i love all the random music you mention (who doesn’t love skid row and phil collins), but the post about the bathtub really hit home. i love sticking the kids in the bath tub and disappearing. sure, the bathroom pays the price- but it is worth it for my sanity!

  7. I love reading all of your blogs. Seriously, you are humorous, sentimental and I can tell, both in person and on your blog, that you are an amazing mother. I don’t remember which posting it was but I loved when you explained about having “Monkey in the Middle” and how your heart multiplied with love! I am always worried about when I decide to have a second, that I won’t be able to love another child as much as I love my Jeffrey but you made me realize that I can. Thank you, Amy!

  8. Happy Anniversary!! I am so biased since I am related to you and your beauties, so I love reading them all!! I have to say, though, since I am a singer, one of my favs is the one where you and Julia are singing True Colors. “0) I also love the one when you are playing piano and the boys are parading “church” Funny stuff! <3xo
